Lineate’s years of experience in cloud data ingestion has led us to develop the “Data Octopus” architecture. Based originally on a need to aggregate internal systems, Data Octopus has grown into a unified, cloud-based architecture that we now use to solve most data integration needs, whether they involve traditional table-based data or large-scale streaming data.

Lineate designs all its applications, with the goal of having continuous integration, continuous delivery, and push button deployments and rollbacks. This allows our clients to deploy new features faster, and to de-risk rapid experimentation. As distributed computing experts for over 20 years, we also are experts at upgrading existing applications to scale horizontally across the cloud and to handle failure gracefully.

Lineate provisions every cloud environment using Infrastructure as a Service, which includes several layers of security and monitoring in place. All applications are also monitored for application-specific and business metrics, with out of the ordinary behavior highlighted and escalated. Coupled with code level security analysis which detects things like code vulnerabilities and managing the security of code library dependencies, Lineate can help minimize risks in pulling applications out of private data centers and into the cloud.
